11/14 Weekly Email

Hi all,

I have a few minor updates this week but also wanted to remind people of some ongoing projects and initiatives.

First, we have a number of surveys available right now on our website feedback page. Please log in with the QR code and password (available on every UAEA bulletin board) and provide feedback on our volunteer activities, our social media pages, our member meetings, and whether you plan to come to our holiday party on December 2nd. If you’d like to receive emails at your personal account, please fill out this survey to give us permission to do so. Please also nominate people for Employee of the Quarter - applications for our first round will close on December 13th.

Second, I’ve attached a copy of our quarterly newsletter on this email for the second week in a row. I want to give Kelly Taylor, our Communications Director, a shoutout for putting together the new template and editing this final version. You can find old copies of our newsletter on our website, under the newsletter tab. I also want to remind people that we accept content submissions for the newsletter - if you have information you’d like to include or suggestions for future content, please send me and Kelly an email. Our next newsletter will drop in early January so please make sure information is sent to us by mid-December.

Third, I’ve attached a copy of today’s member meeting minutes. We had a representative from Nationwide come and speak with the attendees about deferred compensation plans. If you have questions about deferred compensation or Nationwide please reach out to Nancy Feibach (nancy.feilbach@nationwide.com), our main Nationwide account representative. As a general reminder, please make sure that if you come to a member’s meeting you both rsvp to UAEA and give your supervisor at least 48 hour’s notice.

Fourth, I’ve attached a list of tentative upcoming member meetings for 2025. Please note that while we are reserving rooms for these meetings and scheduling speakers, we are still not sure if we will be able to host member meetings during work hours once we’ve resolved this UB time issue. Our intention is to stick to this schedule as much as possible but circumstances may prevent that.

I’ll have our union calendar updated with these events by end-of-day tomorrow.

Looking forward to a quiet wrapup for our year,
