12/24 Weekly Email

Hi all, 

I wanted to get this out early this week since I assume many members might be taking some time off. I also don’t have any updates but keep an eye out next week for some reflections on the year and a brief survey.  

I want to wish everyone in UAEA a very happy holiday season, including, but not limited to, whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, Yule, New Year’s, and/or Chinese New Year’s. We’re the largest employee association in Tempe and thus represent a lot of different people with a lot of different holiday traditions. There are countless ways to relax or spend time with those you love at the end of each year: if there’s anything your family or friends do every year that’s special, please feel free to reach out and I might highlight a few in a future email. 

I know this hasn’t been the easiest year for everyone and I’m proud of us for making it to the end. Next year has some bright stuff on the horizon ranging from Class and Compensation study results to a new MOU negotiation to some new UAEA-specific programs the Executive Team can’t wait to announce. I’m glad we’ve made it to the end though and hope everyone can get some much needed rest and relaxation before things pick back up in January
